Modern Design at the Marina Barrage
Published on June 28, 2010 / Travel

I recently spent some time in the impeccably clean country of Singapore. One of the key places of interest during my visit was the Marina Barrage, a dam that separates the Marina Reservoir from the sea. The Barrage provides Singapore with fresh sustainable water, flood control, and a lifestyle attraction.
Exhibiting high-end modern design, the Visitor Centre here offers an immersive tour of how the Barrage works, its history, and amazing facts. The designs are accompanied with cutting-edge technology, including transparent video screens and design-your-own-postcard kiosks. Here are some shots of the tour.

How beautiful! Great photos. =)
Lived in Singapore for several months in the ’80′s. It was definitely
impeccably clean as you wrote despite the sardine room for its
immense population. The world could take a lesson as to how Singapore
does it (though some methods give pause for thought). However, I
never notices its artistry. May need to make another trip. Oh, and nice
photos!
